Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin by Hank Bordowitz
Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin: Interviews and Encounters (Musicians in Their Own Words)
is a compilation of interviews with the members of Led Zeppelin through the years in chronological order.
Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin
reads like a biography of the media's response to Led Zeppelin, from the books first interview from 1968 - a Jimmy Page interview about his new band, by none other than Robin Leach, in Leach’s magazine Go! - or a series from Toronto Globe and Mail's Ritchie York, where the band is treated as new and interesting. Through the mid 70's where the band is granted star status and on to the late 70's where, in a horrifically bad piece of writing/complete hatchet job, NME's Chris Salewicz does a pre-Knebworth interview with Jimmy Page.
Through the latter 80's, the band starts being given legendary status, a status which grows right through to the final interview in 2013. Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin
is, if nothing else, a comprehensive look at Led Zeppelin's career.
Due to the type of book, a compilation of other writers works, the voices throughout change, some, like Yorke or NME's Nick Kent in 1972, are excellent. Other's like Salewicz or an Australian radio interview that's a mess on paper, are tougher to read. The narrative isn't always consistent, and that can be problematic. On the other hand, with it's breakdown of each interview being a chapter, it is easy enough for the non-reviewer to skip an interview that they find cumbersome or difficult to read.
Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin: Interviews and Encounters (Musicians in Their Own Words)
is an interesting look at the career of Led Zeppelin, not through the eyes of a specific biographer with an agenda, but from the perspective of the people who were there at the time and charged with the task of writing about it.

PHYSICAL GRAFFITI DELUXE EDITION ARRIVES EXACTLY 40 YEARS AFTER DEBUT, PRODUCED AND NEWLY REMASTERED BY JIMMY PAGE, WITH PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED COMPANION AUDIO
Multiple CD, Vinyl, And Digital Formats, Including Limited Edition Super Deluxe Boxed Set, Available February 24
The Led Zeppelin reissue campaign continues in 2015, turning the spotlight on the double album Physical Graffiti. The deluxe edition of the group’s sixth studio album will arrive 40 years to the day after the original debuted on February 24, 1975. As with the previous deluxe editions, Physical Graffiti has been newly remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page and is accompanied by a disc of companion audio comprising previously unreleased music related to the original release.
Certified 16x platinum in the U.S., the commercial success of Physical Graffiti was equaled by its critical reception. Generally regarded as one of the greatest double albums of all time, the original 15 tracks represent a creative tour de force that explores the band’s dynamic musical range, from the driving rock of “Custard Pie” and acoustic arrangement of “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” to the Eastern raga of “Kashmir” and funky groove of “Trampled Under Foot.” The companion audio disc that accompanies the deluxe edition of Physical Graffiti has seven unreleased tracks, including rough mixes of “In My Time Of Dying” and “Houses Of The Holy,” as well as an early mix of “Trampled Under Foot” called “Brandy & Coke.” All the unreleased companion tracks offer fans a chance to hear well-known songs from a different perspective, including the Sunset Sound mix of “Boogie With Stu” and “Driving Through Kashmir,” a rough orchestra mix of the band’s eight minute opus “Kashmir.” Also featured is “Everybody Makes It Through,” a strikingly different early version of “In The Light” with alternate lyrics.
Physical Graffiti is now available for pre-order in the following formats:

Jason Bonham in 2015
It looks like Jason Bonham's plans for 2015 are starting to firm up. On Episode 80 of Ramble On Radio last month, James Dylan confirmed that Jason was booking Led Zeppelin Experience shows for March.
The first date has popped up on Ticketmaster, March 11 at the Uptown Theatre, Napa California. Tickets go on sale Monday. Look for more dates to be announced in the next week or two.
On May 2nd, Sammy Hagar and The Circle to play the Carolina Rebellion Festival in Concord, NC. The Circle features Jason, Michael Anthony and guitarist Vic Johnson from the band Waboritas. Also on the 2-day festival (May 2nd and 3rd) lineup is Slash, featuring rumoured almost Zeppeliner Myles Kennedy, Cheap Trick, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Slayer and a host of others.
There will be, I am sure, much more from Jason as 2015 develops.
